Giorgio Armani continues to pay homage to the city of Milan with the Borgonuovo 11, the key bag from the label for the AW2019/20 season. Armani’s artisanal and sartorial expertise combined with the Italian and Milanese spirit of the brand – found previously in both the iconic Borgonuovo (2013) and the Le Sac 11 top-handle bag (2015) – have evolved to create the new Borgonuovo 11. The bag is dedicated to Palazzo Orsini, the company’s historical headquarters at Via Borgonuovo 11 in Milan. The new model is designed with the aim of understanding and indulging the needs of women today; it is a new take on leather goods and fully respects the brand’s distinctive aesthetic principles. The Borgonuovo 11 is offered in four crisp, geometric, structured models: a top-handle bag, a baguette, a cross-body and a clutch, all personalised with subtle details in light gold metal and black plexiglass. The bags are available in three leather variations – liquid-effect laminated leather, brushed leather or enamelled lizard skin – and a wide variety of winter shades, such as bronze, ice white, red, navy blue, nude and grey.
