Romeo Gigli @ New Creative Director For PERNELLE


PERNELLE announces Romeo Gigli as the brand’s Creative Director and will be leading PERNELLE’s theme development and image design. Romeo Gigli, a legendary Italian fashion designer, mentor to many young designers, among which the late -  Alexander McQueen, is often dubbed a “contemporary renaissance master.” His designs are well known for their elaborate nature and touch of renaissance grandeur. And his lifestyle collections have been very popular among top graded celebrities in the world, namely: Nicole Kidman, Tilda Swinton, Sigourney Weawer, Zaha hadid, Princess Carolina of Monaco,  Leslie Cheung, Maggie Cheung, Andy Lau and Fan Bingbing. Born in a noble family, Romeo Gigli, who sprang into fame in the 80s & 90s, has been exposed to Byzantine arts and Renaissance masterpieces. Mr. Gigli established his first shop in Milan in  Corso Como 10 in 1988, won the Woolmark Award in 1990 for his trendsetting unstructured men’s jacket and was honoured with the “Chevalier de l’ordre des arts et des lettres” nomination in 1992 in Paris by the Ministre de la Culture et de la Communication, Jack Lang.
