The Coffee Academïcs Coffee Concept Store Opens @ Causeway Bay Hong Kong

The Coffee Academïcs, a brand new experiential coffee concept opened its flagship store in Causeway Bay, taking Hong Kong’s coffee culture to new heights and offering a unique playground for coffee aficionados. The sister Hong Kong’s home grown coffee brand, caffè HABITŪ, The Coffee Academïcs is dedicated to the city’s  rapidly growing community of discerning coffee lovers.
The Coffee Academïcs is more than a cool café, it is a platform which connects coffee experts and coffee-holics, bringing the art of coffee tasting to its apex, boasting top-notch coffee, in-house baristas, state-of-the-art coffee equipment and funky interior design. Central to its concept is the idea that guests are encouraged to interact with its in-house baristas, who are happy to talk about their coffee passion and professional knowledge - an interaction that allows the curious to discover coffee on another level.
The café sprawls across 2000sqf and, with soft lighting and homely furnishings, it’s the perfect place for brewing ideas over a cup of java or engaging in inspiring conversations to spark new ventures. The interiors are modern with a touch of industrial vintage chic, its open coffee bar and exposed bricks walls are reminiscent of an ultra-cool Brooklyn hangout, but its big windows look out onto the hustle and bustle of Causeway Bay’s buzzing Yiu Wa Street.
The Coffee Academïcs’ all-star coffee team selects and roasts its own coffee beans, creating one-of-a-kind blends and every stage is scrutinised to ensure the highest possible quality of coffee delivered. Naturally, the best coffee beans require the perfect grinder. The Coffee Academïcs utilises one of only three Italian grinders in Hong Kong, La Marzocco Volcano Grinder, whose conical grinding design outshines the lateral grinding design of the usual grinder. Customers can view the grinding process through the bullet-proof glass cover, which was specially installed for this purpose.

The daily roasting process from the “Rolls-Royce” of coffee roasters, the German Probat Coffee Roasterare blended daily. Only the second of its kind in Hong Kong at an investment of more than half a million Hong Kong dollars, its double drum ensures a sublime stable roasting process, resulting in the most aromatic coffee beans, made fresh every afternoon.
