BALLY @ First Luxury Eyewear Colletcion

Bally introduces its first collection of luxury eyewear for men and women synonymous with craftsmanship excellence and innovative design and partnership with the international eyewear group TWC L’AMY for the collection’s development. Created in collaboration with Bally’s Creative Directors Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler, L’Amy Group’s design team has captured the aesthetic of Bally’s accessory and ready-to-wear collections whilst also reinterpreting the Swiss brand’s iconic elements: the red and white Trainspotting stripe, the Mountain Goat motif, the Bally Crest and the Block-B are all included as the eyewear collection’s signature details.

The men’s collection centrepiece is a classic aviator model featuring a bridge nosepiece and temples lined in leather. Bally’s Block-B is crafted from metal mounted inside the temples placed at the end tip. Lenses are available in brown or polarised green. The sophisticated feminine style of the women’s collection is best highlighted by a key oval, acetate frame whose temples are enhanced by intertwined leather and metal rings that mirror the elegance of a Bally handbag chain. Lenses are available in grey or brown. Divided into Fashion and Sport & Casual for women, and Top, Office and Casual for men, a wide range of models ensures that every occasion is represented in-line with Bally’s principals of timeless elegance and innovative design. Bally will reveal its highly anticipated eyewear collection at the Silmo Optical Fair in Paris in October 2012. The luxury Eyewear Collection will then be available in selected Bally stores from December 2012 and in dedicated optical retailers from January 2013.

Having drawn their inspiration from Bally’s heritage of craftsmanship excellence and attention to detail, these luxury collections deliver an exceptional level of individual expression for exacting, style-conscious customers. Using titanium or leather frames that reflect Bally’s leather goods focus, original design elements such as the Mountain Goat and Block-B have also been added to the end tips for a polished finish. A variety of shapes ensures a mix of modern and vintage appeal. Men’s models range from contemporary thin, rectangular frames to more vintage shapes such as the aviator or classic tortoiseshell. Women’s models feature oversized shapes including square or rounded, butterfly frames or cat’s-eye shapes. Colour detail plays an important role in maintaining the Swiss brand’s characteristic polished feminine finish.
The Sport&Casual Ranges are created for both men and women, Bally’s Sport&Casual eyewear is designed to represent the brand’s easy, versatile style. Sunglasses and eyeglasses for daily use and leisure activities have been developed, with special attention given to the discreet integration of Bally’s iconic red and white Trainspotting stripe for an easy urban feel. Frames are made from acetate, stainless steel, which is renowned for its lightweight strength and versatility, and feature a variety of shapes including round and rectangular, to more enveloping sporting designs. Lenses come in an array of colours including classic black to grey. The women’s collection features touches of colour such as red or toffee, which match perfectly with Bally’s ready-to-wear and accessory collections.
