COACH Spring 2018 Advertising Campaign

Coach Spring 2018 global advertising campaign with a series of images that capture the toughness and tenderness of New York City. Artist Keith Haring’s iconic illustrations are at the heart of this season’s collection. Based in New York City, Haring had a democratic and accessible approach to art, and an ethos that Coach has long stood for: inclusivity. Coach’s iconic leathers are a natural canvas for Haring’s bold graphics.

The women’s ready-to-wear collection evokes a tomboyish femininity with antiqued crystals on sheer tees, satin bomber jackets with rose gold rivets and silk- and lace-trimmed slip dresses that sparkle and shine. These feminine and nostalgic elements are mixed with Coach leathers, shearling and glitter Western booties.

Men’s is relaxed with soft suede jackets and outerwear contrasted with cheeky Hawaiian print shirts and Keith Haring graphics mixed throughout. Key bags of the season include the Bleecker backpack and Metropolitan Portfolio and, for women’s, the Camera Bag and the Mailbox - a re-edition of an archival Coach style first introduced in 1972.

“The further extension into ready-to-wear this season has been very much inspired by our Coach girl gang - the way that they wear, party and live in our clothes,” says Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers. “I love that sort of undone, unprecious glamour and sensuality - it feels very true to the house.” Also new for spring is Signature - an iconic Coach pattern remixed for the modern girl and guy with a nostalgic feel juxtaposed with Keith Haring’s artwork, attitude-packed Tea Rose rivets and bold hardware.

“With Coach Signature, I liked the idea of customizing it and making it into a canvas for something really personal,” says Vevers. “We’ve taken the familiar and subverted it with a downtown attitude - the unexpected juxtaposition feels very much for today.” Coach worked with long-time collaborators, including photographer Steven Meisel, stylist Karl Templer, creative director Fabien Baron, makeup artist Pat McGrath and hair stylist Guido Palau.

The campaign consists of eight images and features bags, ready-to-wear, footwear, eyewear and watches, along with a short film featuring outtakes from the shoot, which will run on digital channels. Keith Haring x Coach was done in collaboration with Artestar, an agency that exclusively represents Keith Haring worldwide as well as other high-profile artists.

BALLY SS2018 Advertising Campaign

Bally’s authenticity and quiet confidence shines through its retro-chic SS2018 campaign for Asia Pacific. Marking a reset, the campaign presents a refined sportswear aesthetic and consistent brand message which brings back the DNA of this characterful, luxury brand. Led by Bally’s Asia Pacific spokesperson for a second season, Tang Yan fronts this powerful campaign, in which Bally’s authentic heritage and contemporary product speaks for itself. Alongside French-Canadian model Marc-Andre Turgeon, the campaign opens up a new episode of storytelling which recalls Bally’s past recognition among urban street culture of the early 1980s. Relaxed poses dream up a subtle narrative of everyday existence. Stripped walls, scarce belongings and sparse furniture recall a carefree lifestyle from a previous era. Shot in an empty London house, the campaign is art directed by Ben Kelway and captured by American photographer Colin Dodgson, with styling by longtime collaborator Jonathan Kaye.

FURLA SS2018 Collection

Furla’s journey through Venice’s lanes and squares, already begun with the Cruise collection, now continues in the SS2018 collection; a world of charm, at the crossroads of style and culture, shapes and colors which characterize the unique and wonderful soul of the lagoon city, in perfect harmony between history and the avant-garde. The deep and vibrant colors are a distinctive trait of the SS2018 Furla. The blue and green of the water, the bright pink of the flowers on Venetian rooftop terraces, the delicate yet solid pastels of the house facades.

The shapes of the Furla SS2018 bags were inspired by the city’s architecture and palace decorations. This is evident in the essential, scalloped lines of the new Furla Merletto, or in the gold metal clasp closure with scalloping detail that evokes the heraldic coat of arms of noble Venetian families in the new Furla Ducale crossbody. A central element of the collection is prints: they conjure images of Venice’s mosaic floors and brocades of tapestries, reimagining and digitally reworking them into flower and fruit motifs. On leather, nylon and fabric, the Serenissima prints define Furla’s iconic lines such as Furla Metropolis or the Furla Stacy bucket bag, as well as the collection’s new arrivals.Venice and art: a bond that Furla interprets through pop art. It creates bags called Furla Golosa, Primizia and Dolcezza: crossbody bags and bucket bags in the shape of summer fruit, with stylized lines and surprising colors.

Finally, even the names of the new bags transport us to the places and customs of Venice. There is the hobo bag, Furla Rialto, a soft and comfortable everyday bag, with metallic details and braided leather handle. Furla Murrina reflects the glassblowing tradition of Murano; a cylindrical bowling bag with the body in smooth Venice calfskin leather, the red sides in Fleu calfskin, the handles and shoulder strap in black calf leather. Murrina has a zip closure, to which a delicate pink leather flower is attached. It is available in Small and Medium.

Furla's SS2018 Men’s Collection pays tribute to Venice’s artistic heritage, the city as showcase of the monuments of its glorious past and of today’s contemporary art scene – the ancient history of the Serenissima, and the contemporary dreams of the Biennale. This journey – from ancient city to reference of the contemporary art world – lies at the heart of the Spring / Summer 2018 Men’s Collection: a collection conceived – with a very Italian kind of lightness –between a stroll through the calli and a gondola ride through the canals.

Patterns and colors from floors and mosaics from the subtle magic of Palazzo Fortuny to the glory of the Palazzo Ducale are the inspiration for the patchwork decoration of Furla Marte handbag. The inlays of Venetian furniture – the geometric patterns, the colors as if on an artist’s palette inspire the marquetry designs on the Furla Zeus handbag.

Ulysses, the lead character of Homer’s Odyssey, master of disguises, in this playful collection chooses for himself a gondoliere’s uniform: the shape-shifting Furla Ulisse backpack can become different characters – the gondoliere and the sailor, the lifeguard and the regatta boat’s skipper. Lucky charms – teddy bears dressed up as sailors, gondolieri, lifeguards - and small leather goods decorate the backpacks. Furla Ulisse backpacks always changing – try on different skins with patchwork motifs: aquatic animals and lagoons, bright geometric patterns. The quiet, dignified elegance of Riva yachts and motorboats are the point of reference for the Furla Icaro handbag: wood and navy blue navy at the heart of this special, masculine bag.

The 2018 VEUVE CLICQUOT Business Women Award Launches In Hong Kong

As part of the glamourous opening ceremony at Hong Kong’s Women of Wine Festival (WoW), Veuve Clicquot has announced the Hong Kong launch of its prestigious Business Woman Award. Now in its 46th year, the award runs annually globally, and has recognized more than 350 women in 27 countries. The unveiling of the 2018 Hong Kong Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award was announced by Debra Meiburg MW, the first Master of Wine in Asia, Founding Director of Meiburg Wine Media, along with Gaëlle Goossens, Winemaker and Development Innovation Wine Communication Projects Manager of Veuve Clicquot.

The Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award was first initiated in 1972 to honour and sustain the legacy of Madame Clicquot – regarded as the world’s first female entrepreneur. It is awarded to those who share the same qualities: an enterprising spirit, with the courage and the determination necessary to accomplish her business goals. Veuve Clicquot owes its extraordinary reputation from Madame Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin. Married in 1798 to François Clicquot, owner of a Champagne business, she took control of the business at 27 years old after being widowed. She would seize each new opportunity that arose, willing to take risks, and as such she was able to expand her business to all four corners of the world.

Uncompromising when it came to the quality of her wines, she perfected new techniques of production. She invented the “table de remuage” (riddling table) to clarify champagne in 1810, the 1st Vintage wine in 1816 and innovated the very first blend of rosé champagne in 1818. Within just a few years she made her name into a brand of excellence, a name today renowned throughout the world. Even then, her peers recognized her formidable contributions, and referred to her as the “Grande Dame of Champagne”. The Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award is the first and longest-running international award created specifically to recognise the contribution that women entrepreneurs have made to business.

A few of the high profile global recipients of the award, includes Dame Zaha Mohammad Hadid DBE RA, Dame Anita Roddick DBE, Founder & MD, The Body Shop International Plc. Australian Fashion design duo, Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton (Sass & Bide). Debra Meiburg MW said, “It is very exciting to welcome these prestigious and meaningful awards to Hong Kong. A dynamic, aspirational city, Hong Kong is a global hub of business, in which women play a significant role. I am quite sure there will be a plethora of truly impressive women worthy of this award, and I eagerly look forward to the announcements of the finalists and winner later in the year.”

Gaëlle Goossens, Veuve Clicquot said, “We are delighted to bring the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award to Hong Kong, to celebrate and recognize the success of inspirational and courageous women, whilst reinforcing the vibrant legacy of Madame Clicquot, whose pioneering and entrepreneurial spirit has underpinned the tremendous success of Veuve Clicquot Champagne.” Following a detailed consultation and voting process with an esteemed Jury – a panel of five exceptional business people, and an advisor – the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award Hong Kong will be awarded at a prestigious ceremony in Hong Kong in October 2018.
