Givenchy SS2015 Menswear Collection

Givenchy SS2015 menswear collection reveals the dark and romantic side of the Givenchy man. A strong, masculine and military-inspired look is counterbalanced by tender touches evoking a celebration of love and religion.

The collection commences with classic tailored jackets and coats, v-neck sweaters, and shirts adorned with faux school crests ; all paired with shorts. While reminiscent of schoolboy uniforms, the use of luxe fabrics and black and white palette subvert this otherwise classic look.

Elegant and sophisticated tailoring is given an urban twist, in typical Riccardo Tisci’s collection. Sharp, sartorial blazers, vests, and car coats are paired with knit polo shirts or traditional white button-front shirts and worn with shorts or skirts.

Fitted trousers with rolled cuffs are worn with striped shirts, polos and tanks. Tailored pieces are rendered in matte black or a new floral print inspired by baby’s breath (Gypsophila flower).

The signature Givenchy bomber jacket is interpreted this season with a utilitarian theme. Workwear-influenced jackets and cargo trousers feature multiple pockets and other utilitarian details. The color palette this season is restricted to graphic blacks and whites. The collection concludes with a final group featuring couture-level embroidery with pearls.
