Salvatore Ferragamo @ The Amazing Shoemaker Fairy Tales & Legends About Shoes and Shoemakers Exhibition

Museo Ferragamo in Florence held a grand opening inaugurated “The Amazing Shoemaker -Fairy Tales and Legends about Shoes and Shoemakers”. The exhibition is based on Salvatore Ferragamo's epic life-story, in which fashion, art and dreams intertwined in perfect harmony.
Wanda Ferragamo, Honorary Chairwoman of Salvatore Ferragamo Group, together with all the other members of the Ferragamo family hosted a preview open to a select number of artists - Mimmo Paladino, Alessandro Bergonzoni, Mauro Borrelli, Rick Heinrichs, Liliana Moro, Annette Lemieux, Ann Craven and Frank Espinosa – leading the guests into the magical world of Salvatore Ferragamo, through installations, comic books, animation, short films, stories and antique treasures.
“We are very proud to have organized such an extraordinary, singular event,” stated Ferruccio Ferragamo, Chairman of the Ferragamo Group. “We didn't want another brand retrospective, but rather an authentic production, presenting countless works of art specifically commissioned for this exhibition, displayed side by side with prestigious ancient pieces borrowed from other museums.”
The Amazing Shoemaker, which was inaugurated only a few days after the establishment of the Fondazione Ferragamo, is based on the life and work of Salvatore Ferragamo, a man led by his determination who relentlessly pursued his dream: creating beautiful, novel shoes that would soon inspire women for generations.
To enhance such a blend of imagination, fashion, art, myths and legends, Palazzo Feroni opened its rooms to the guests for a luncheon presenting a special fairy tale menu that included dishes and hors d’oeuvres with fanciful names like “The Fox and the Grapes”, “Snake’s Eye”, “Pumpkin Carriage”, “Gateau in Boots”, “Hop O’ My Thumb Crumble”, “The Princess and the Pea” and “Peter Pan’s Clouds”. The ancient palace was decorated for the occasion with floral arrangements inspired by the fantasy worlds of Peter Pan and The Wizard of Oz.
Don't miss the amazing white shoe film and be one of the first to view it :

HARRY WINSTON @ 2013 Bridal Collection

I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU HUSBAND AND WIFE!
HARRY WINSTON celebrates the ultimate expression of love, with an exquisite collection of wedding day jewels that are as unique and rare as true love itself. A century ago, Harry Winston’s love affair with diamonds began, and in the course of his remarkable career more than a third of the most famous diamonds in the world have had their chapter at the House of Harry Winston. Among them, the legendary Hope Diamond donated by Mr. Winston to the Smithsonian Institution and seen by more than 7 million visitors a year; the diamond necklace presented by Napoleon to his Empress Marie-Louise; and the 18 Lesotho diamonds including the engagement ring that Aristotle Onassis gave to his future bride, Jacqueline Kennedy. One of Mr. Winston’s greatest gifts was to impart his fascination with the beauty, the romance, the majesty and the mystique of great gemstones to a clientele that ranged from heads of state to Hollywood stars. Harry Winston’s celebrated collection of jewelry has been compared with collections amassed by royal houses and governments alike. When you purchase a Harry Winston engagement ring, you join our legacy.
Every Harry Winston engagement ring begins with a diamond chosen for its exceptional character and superlative quality. Each stone is cut and polished to release all its brilliance and distinctive beauty. Only then do the designers and master craftsmen at Harry Winston’s Fifth Avenue workshop fashion a setting that will reveal each individual diamond’s heart and soul in a way that is at once contemporary, classic, and impeccably elegant. “No two diamonds are alike,” Harry Winston once explained. “Each diamond has a different nature. Each diamond must be handled the way you handle a person.” The discriminating connoisseurship of gemstones has not changed, and every engagement ring we create is truly one-of-a-kind.
A round brilliant-cut diamond set in the iconic “HW” prongs design, in a plain metal or diamond micropavé setting. The quintessential symbol of love, this stunning engagement ring continues the timeless tradition of Harry Winston bridal styles with an elegant, modern design. The ring setting features two logotypes, “H” and “W” representing the initials of Harry Winston, as well as the titles “husband” and “wife,” which support a round brilliant-cut diamond center stone.
True to the quality of the brand’s craftsmanship, each setting is custom designed for the individual stone. Handcrafted in platinum, the design further accentuates the purity and inherent beauty of each diamond. HW Logo Ring is offered in three stone sizes: 0.50, 0.70 and 1.00 carat. For added brilliance, the 1.00 carat ring is also offered with Harry Winston’s signature micropavé diamond detailing. Emphasizing the magnificence of the center stone, HW Logo Ring exemplifies the intricacy and elegance of Winston design.

HUGO BOSS Digital Campaign @ Fashion Show in Shanghai

HUGO BOSS launched a large-scale online, mobile and social media campaign in the run-up to the BOSS fashion show on May 30. The film shot exclusively for the Shanghai show entitled “Shanghai Affairs“ consisting of multiple episodes, will be broadcast worldwide on all the HUGO BOSS social media channels.
The film was directed by photographer Noam Griegst, who has already made a name for himself in the fashion film genre. Danish music producer Anders Trentemøller contributed the soundtrack. The first two episodes feature Taiwanese actress Lin Chiling and the male supermodel Jon Kortajarena; their story is mysteriously interwoven with the BOSS fashion show on May 30. In strong supporting roles are two BOSS runway pieces which are only shown in glimpses throughout the shorts.
The filming locations in Shanghai include a ferry on the Huangpu River, an exclusive bar and a hotel. The campaign will then climax in a live stream of the fashion show itself. This is the first time viewers will see the two complete runway outfits and the first time they will be able to order these online directly from the catwalk. Both the men’s and women’s looks are available in limited editions of only 100.

Tommy Hilfiger Childrenswear @ SS2013 Prep Passport Collection

Tommy Hilfiger Childrenswear SS2013 collection <Prep Passport> is inspired by the exotic places American families travel to on vacation. It’s a call for every mom, dad, son and daughter to bond by exploring distant horizons and experiencing new cultures. And wherever you go, your style goes with you whether it’s watching a brilliant Indian sunset, sailing the sea, or exploring on an African safari. On this journey East, classic American prep discovers the wonder and inspiration of faraway lands as families create memories that will last a lifetime. Everyone returns home with sand in their shoes, sun in their hearts, and a brighter, broader outlook. The plane touches down in India for <Ethnic Prep>. It’s a Technicolor movie come to life, the color and movement in everywhere you turn. Boys can stay cool in a peacock-inspired color palette, with bright madras checks, denim button-downs, and bold graphic prints in soothing blue, teal, and green. For girls, it’s the perfect place to play in pink and orange, the season’s freshest color pairing. Girls will also love the abundance of patterns, especially paisley, and striking details that feel hand-crafted: sequins, beading, embroidery, vibrant tribal patterns, and fun contrasting hems. Here, there’s no such thing as too much color, and no such thing as clashing so kids can mix and match exactly as they please!
Next, it’s time to set sail with <Nautical Prep>, off the coast of Capetown, South Africa. Landscape-inspired orange, yellow, green and blue are mixed in with the classic red, navy and white, for color combinations as bold and refreshing as the first wave hitting your feet. For both boys and girls, stripes and color blocking take center stage. In the boy’s collection, shark and whale motifs add a thrill of adventure. Seersucker blazers cut a crisp yet relaxed silhouette. Girls will make a splash with irresistible details like rope ties, broderie anglaise, and elbow patches. Whimsical patterns of nautical knots, birds and star patterns on shirts and skirts remind us of gazing out at the surf, and up at the sky.
In <Safari Prep> adventure , everyone in the family packs their backpacks for a Kenyan safari. For boys, khakis, grays, and slate blues with touches of mint green and black will help camouflage when playing hide-and-seek in the grasslands. Classic chambray in sun-faded blue and white stripes keeps everyone cool under the hot sun, and funny slogans “Cheeky Monkey Safari Tours” add a lighthearted twist to every animal sighting. Along with the creams, khakis and grays, golden yellow and pink add sunset touches to the girls’ collection, and lots of different fabric textures add variety. During the day, girls can pair a lace skirt with a straw hat to keep cool, while a chunky waffle-knit sweater is the perfect way to stay warm during chilly nights on the savannah. Zebra and spotted prints capture the spirit of safari, while a cheerful giraffe print is sure to become a beloved favorite, both abroad and back at home.

IRON MAN 3

<Iron Man 3>, the 3rd outing for the Marvel comics superhero shot in 3D is another megalomaniac, loud, overlong movie to please not only the patriotic Americans in their superhero vision but now adding a hint of the Oriental touch. As partly of the film was invested by the East, hence, some scenes were shot to include the Orient and characters created unnecessary for the story. Thanks to the international version that we watch didn't have much plots to be included but those edited scenes will be aired in the Main Land to please their outmoded necessitate. How boring!! This time <Iron Man 3> come back with bigger and more threatening action for him to save his country. One Iron Man is not enough to do so, he pushes his invention to a new level. The man himself is no longer actually has to be in the suit but to fly the little hollow robot "Iron Men" with ultra remote control together with hand-in-hand protecting his own nation. The film is rather entertaining with great CG effect, faster with more efficiency on the robot being adversely upgraded but the story was just like his suit left with a predictable empty hollow. Nevertheless, credit must be given to Ben Kingsley Villainous "Mandarin" Character, which is a big surprise in every scene he made with a drastic twist and steal most limelight from the others. Nevertheless, Marvel's fan will not say no to any of this action pack superheros story in no matter how bad the story would bring. That's where the money goes! and YES....we all knew it!
