VALENTINO Pop-up Store @ I.T Hysan

VALENTINO teamed up with  I.T and held a VALENTINO pop-up store featuring its camouflage pattern of SS13 Men’s collection at I.T Hysan from March 21st to April 18th. The SS13 Valentino mens’ collection is edgy and energizing with distinctive silhouette: Opaque layering and rubberized intaglio details create camouflage patterns on the trench coat, restyled parker and denim trucker jacket with new technique, tiny rivets on the back of usual sneakers demonstrate the perfect combination of texture that morphs sports and Couture.
Crisp materials such as natte nylon, wool/silk barathea, wool/nylon blends, dry cotton, Japanese denim, leather and treated linen are extensive used to balance luxury and performance. The color palette is pragmatic, but it also breaks out of the mold: muscular army green, camel , blue, black, gray and ivory are accented with splashes of rust, red and acid green.

HAIDER ACKERMANN @ SS2013 Collection

Haider Ackermann SS2013 collection comes from the inspiration of the traditional Japanese dressing. The <Colours & Materials> is a palette of deep coffee, black, ivory, white and selected shades of navy and dark blues. The prints are mosaics of graphic and geometric patterns, polka dots, interlocking squares combined with stripes in a stricter palette of two colors that enhance graphic proportions.
The materials are a combination of different structures; mélange linen’s, papery black silk, graphic jacquard fabrics, transparent printed silk chiffon and delicate laces, combined with washed leather.
The <Silhouettes> is the relative simplicity in different elements of weights and patterns together makes a distinctive silhouette: sculptural tailored jackets, flowing oversized coats, drop-crotch trousers, touches of Oriental-influenced draping and men’s tailoring.
Fragile, camisole dresses with polka dot printed layers of chiffon were draped over slim polka dot trousers. A structured fitted jacket, vertically striped, underneath a draped blouse and full trousers in two different mosaics of graphic patterns.
A streamlined suit with strong shoulders, clasped by a thick leather cummerbund above the waist, and collars bunched into stiff folds that create sculptural proportion.

Hennessy V.S.O.P KYRIOS @ 2013 New Privilege Collection

Hennessy V.S.O.P launched its 2013 Privilege Collection KYRIOS  in Hong Kong recently and embraced the 5 legendary codes of Hennessy including the “Grapes”, the “Bras Armé”, “1817”, the “Copper Colour” and the “New Silhouette”. Being an extension of the reinterpretation by Chris Bangle, the former chief designer of BMW Group, the matte carbon-grey carafe is an epitomization of a true collector’s bottle, and the drink of choice for the classy and discerning. It is also an innovation of a legend, forged with class, exclusivity and desirability in mind.
Hennessy V.S.O.P KYRIOS is the guardian and key to the codes of the legendary world of Hennessy V.S.O.P - sentinel to the Very Superior Old Pale that has not only remained unadulterated through the ages. Follow the 5 Codes of Hennessy V.S.O.P through KYRIOS to discover the meanings and appreciate the stories.
At first take a long path across time back to “1817” when the legend began and follow your way until you see the “Grapes”, symbols of the origins. While moving on, have a look at the key symbols in hot-foil “Copper Colour” that evokes the pot stills. Then discover the “Bras-Armé”, seal of the House of Hennessy, and the belief that everything is possible.
The carbon-grey colour which usually used in the automobile industry for fast concept cars was chosen by the international renowned designer, Chris Bangle, to artistically envelopes its “New Silhouette” giving the KYRIOS a quiet, stop-and-stare invoking brilliance. By night, Kyrios comes alive with a breathtaking glow from the flanking silhouette lines that shine in bright copper under black light; a stunning spectacle. The label itself is an innovation, being the very first 3D label to be used on a spirit bottle, proudly emblazoning the “1817” monogram while depicting the depth of time through which Hennessy V.S.O.P has thrived as the superior cognac.
The harmonious structure of Hennessy V.S.O.P KYRIOS is perpetuated in a perfect balance of flavors, combine opulence and finesse, strength and delicateness. This sensory contrast appears with the nose, when a crescendo of flavors give a hint of a generous note of vanilla and cinnamon, highlighted by roasted, lightly toasted notes arising from the maturation in oak barrels. This ascension then hits the palate, revealing a delicate, precise balance in which strength responds to mellowness, leading to a particularly long, elegant finish. With its harmonious and well-structured blend, Hennessy V.S.O.P KYRIOS can, from the most simple to the most sophisticated, be enjoyed on the rocks, as a long drink or in a more creative “Hennessy Mix” including Hennessy Berry, Citrus, Ginger, Apple and Soda.
