MONCLER SS2016 Ad Campaign

MONCLER has entrusted Annie Leibovitz with its first SS2016 institutional advertising campaign inspired by “Gulliver’s Travels”, by Irish author Jonathan Swift.

Gulliver is a a mix of creativity and clairvoyance, capable of overcoming the trends of the times; qualities which are perfectly aligned with the spirit of Moncler.

Gulliver awakens on the beach of an unknown land, Lilliput, where he has been shipwrecked.

Suddenly he finds that he is completely out of proportion, still dressed in his elegant culottes and light-grey down filled waistcoat surrounded by the Lilliputians all of whom are wearing Moncler’s electric blue Longue Saison jacket.

The scene dominated by the imposing size of Gulliver and the activity of the Lilliputian army is set against a Nordic marine landscape: cold, almost metallic sand, anthracite rocks, a striking blue sky and dazzling white clouds. In keeping with the philosophy Moncler has adopted since its very outset, nature is once again the true star and deus ex-machina of the narrative, underscoring the story’s value far beyond the traditional methods adopted by the world of advertising.

Riccardo Tisci Introduces The New GIVENCHY Logo

First introduced in the men's SS2016 collection, the new Givenchy logo has come into its own with the fall collection. Printed, embossed on leather, woven into the lining of clothes, this graphic blend combines star motifs with the letters in Givenchy. Destined to accompany the House for many years to come, it was chosen by Riccardo Tisci for its universal and positive symbolic value.

BVLGARI @ San Valentino 2016 Special Edition Chocolate Gems “Lui e Lei”

BVLGARI introduces the San Valentino 2016 Special Edition Chocolate Gems “Lui e Lei” that are the chocolate gems and carefully handcrafted by their artisan chocolatier in BVLGARI’s only chocolate laboratory in Tokyo. For the Valentine 2016, IL CIOCCOLATO’s “Lui e Lei (For him and for her in Italian)” box will be in blue and pink boxes, made of the artisanal xylograph paper from Florence. The motif was inspired from the Bulgari’s high jewelry collection “Italian Garden” and designed exclusively for Bulgari Il Cioccolato. The news of the chocolate “Lui e Lei” this year is that they used the “cacao crudo (law chocolate)” from Italy. “Cacao crudo” is made only from the very prestigious cacao beans called “criollo” and has rich and mellow scent of cacao. “Lui (For him)” : Passito “Dolce Nero” (unique dessert wine from Sicily) and bitter chocolate ganache with bitter chocolate. “Lei (For her)” : Italian rosehip jam gianduia with bitter chocolate.

BALMAIN SS2016 Ad Campaign

BALMAIN SS2016 ad campaign shot by Steven Klein for the first time, there was never any question of which direction to take. It was obvious that there was no need for any special installation or any type of lighting tricks - Pascal, Steven and Rousteing knew that the unique combination of Balmain's Spring 2016 designs and these powerful women was more than enough. Therefore, lighting is clean and direct and the women are front and center.

While they shot these images, Rousteing had to smile as he imagined how his adolescent self would have reacted with utter disbelief if someone could have traveled back in time to tell him that one day he would be in a New York studio, watching Steven Klein shoot Cindy, Claudia and Naomi for my Spring 2016 campaign for those four singular talents have inspired him from day one.

When Rousteing was a schoolboy in Bordeaux, it was their editorials that first made clear to him the amazing transformative power of fashion. Still today, many years on, their iconic images are often found amongst the jumble on mood boards in his (and almost every other designers') atelier. To say that working with them was a dream come true is no exaggeration.

According to Rousteing , watching Cindy, Claudia, Naomi and Steven instinctively work together, he was struck by the displays of confidence, professionalism and grace in front of him. There was never any doubt that the final images would be anything but perfect. Looking at them now, he likes to think that perhaps someday these shots might also form part of some future designer's mood board.

VICTORINOX Apparel SS2016 Urban To Outdoor

VICTORINOX Apparel SS2016 Urban To Outdoor collection is an absolute embodiment of adventure and adaptability. The design focus around the constant duality of navigating both the urban rush and the rural excursion to give a high level of versatility to the wearer. Trying back to the multifunctional brand identity, the design team drew inspiration from the classic Ranger Swiss Army knife, which features over 20 implements to prepare you for all your everyday day adventures. From the city to the mountain trails, the SS2016 collection is conceived to give you unsurpassable adaptability, no matter where their journey takes them.

As part of our continued emphasis on material innovation, the brand have partnered with 37.5™ fabrications. Known for their technological properties, 37.5™ fabrics work to maintain the relative humidity surrounding the body, ensuring the wearer maintains an ideal core temperature. This technology is used as the base for the SS2016 Limited Edition collection.

Each piece was purposely crafted to give the wearer superior comfort and true functionality. Together, the components of this capsule create our Layering / Delayering System. The capsule features outerwear (Ranger Zip Blouson and Reversible Bomber) to underpinnings (the Recon Tee and the Vanguard Henley) and everything in between. The notion of Ranger is further implied through the use of a vintage Swisstopo© map print, which depicts the mountainous area of central Switzerland around Ibach, the home of Victorinox.

The mainline of the collection offers a wide variety of styles to fit with the urban to outdoor lifestyle. Continuing with the ingenious engineered snap-in layering ‘Modular Liner System’ offers the Matterhorn Vest in two new seasonal colors. The vest will snap into any modular ready garment from FW2015, and the updated Highlander VI Jacket and Lenzburg II Hooded Mackintosh from SS2016. Focusing on the strength of thier knit program and launch the new infantry vintage group including the Soldat Crewneck and Fourier Full Zip as well as the expansion of our ath-leisure collection with Urbanite Pullover and Minutoli Trousers.

Introducing additional materials into the collection, carbon cotton (Bergman Blouson and Unstructured Jacket) and resin coated cotton (VX Bomber and Highlander VI Jacket) play a role in our outerwear program. These materials offer a natural fabrication for breathability and hand feel while coatings offer water resistance. Rounding out the collection are strong statement polos and tees.

Many of the new graphic tees feature hand drawn artwork inspired by the history of Victorinox and fashioned in super soft cotton. Continuing novelty prints into the mainline, we have created a custom dot matrix camouflage used primarily in the woven shirt and tee programs.

Roger Vivier 2016 Valentine's Day Picks

Do you want a Vivier KISS
A kiss for Saint Valentine. The universal symbol that Roger Vivier reintroduces on its emblematic accessories.

Drawing inspiration from the house's archives, Bruno Frisoni gives a fresh look to an iconic sandal designed in the 70’s by Mr Roger Vivier : the red lipstick lips embellishes Gommettes ballet flats, a flat clutch and a wallet. Frivolous and sassy, the line toys with the Buckle, almost hiding it behind the lips. An essential gift and Kiss of Love for Saint Valentine.
