《Fabio Cannavaro Wears Harry Winston》

Fabio Cannavaro, was appointed global brand ambassador and Technical Consultant of Al Ahli Club of Dubai. As former Captain of the Italian National team, Cannavaro led Italy to victory in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. His personal performance also won him the FIFA Word Player of the Year award making him the first, and so far, only defender to win the award. Cannavaro left Juventus Club to play in the United Arab Emirates, for Dubai-based club Al Ahli in 2010. 《Tory Burch Opens @ 797 Madison Avenue》

Tory Burch openned its largest global flagship at 797 Madison Avenue in September 2011. The five-story, 8135-square-foot boutique is the company’s third location in New York City and its first uptown.The décor of 797 Madison is inspired by Tory Burch’s lifestyle concept and the space itself, a 19^th Century townhouse. It reflects the iconic style of Tory’s boutiques, featuring orange lacquer doors, gold leaf details, French side chairs, gilt bronze chandeliers, plum velvet curtains and family photos throughout the space.There are custom decorative elements that embody the townhouse’s residential feel including a marble and mirror foyer, a fireplace, extensive paneling and an oak library inspired by Madeleine Castaing. The flagship has several unique features as well, including an outdoor terrace on the third floor with boxwood hedges, tables and chairs. The fifth floor will be a salon for events and private shopping, accessible only by elevator. The collaboration was with architect Daniel Romualdez.

   

  

 

 

In celebration of the opening, there will be special collections exclusive to this location including shoes and handbags in exotics, limited edition eyewear and eveningwear. Tory Burch will celebrate the flagship opening during New York Fashion Week with several special events, the first being Fashion’s Night Out. Fashion Week will also mark Tory’s first runway show for Spring 2012.

《Concept Watch No 3 @ DeWitt》

Reversible is not enough !!!!

For its third concept watch, DeWitt is continuing its exploration of reversible watches. The mechanism, initially inspired from a concrete mixer, was already masterfully executed in The Antipode (concept watch no 2) and confers both a spectacular liveliness and a playful twist to the watch. But for the X-Watch, reversible was not enough! DeWitt therefore imagined a spectacular articulated “bonnet” in the shape of an “X” that partly covers the face of the watch. A typical DeWitt approach that intends to arouse curiosity by hiding some parts of the mechanism in a subtle game of layers. The “X”-shaped bonnet is activated by four push-pieces positioned in the upper and lower part of the case. By pressing the push-pieces, the “X” separates in its middle and smoothly opens up to disclose the face of the watch. A special mechanism was integrated to control the speed of its opening. The rotation of the 49 mm Grade 5 Titanium case is only liberated when the “X” is in the open position. The case can then be flipped over and locked again by closing the “X”. Quite naturally, the “X” is designed in such a way that all the features of the watch remain perfectly readable even when the bonnet is in its closed position.
