Another first in Hong Kong is the launch of Billabong’s Since 73 VIP programme: a unique loyalty programme that offers customers exclusive rewards and brand updates. The store features a rustic look with its rough wood finishes and the brand’s signature black weatherboard frontage, which is designed to resemble a beach house. Exposed brick walls and plants are also used within the store to create an urban-lifestyle-meets-beach atmosphere; where shoppers can venture in to experience the thrilling and exciting ambience Billabong embraces.

To celebrate the opening of the store, Billabong has teamed up with one of Hong Kong’s most sought-after celebrity photographers, Sunny Lau, to create the “Life’s Better In…” campaign. Shot in some of Hong Kong’s most iconic landmarks, the campaign, featuring the likes of the loca young artists to strikes a cord with the brand’s understanding to meet the needs of professional boardsport athletes and also seamlessly weaves in the element of street with its slew of lifestyle offerings. A mini photo exhibition was held and displayed in the store.
